Founded in 1998 by Bob Simpson, Simtrans began with just a few second-hand trucks and a big vision. When the first local contract ended, Bob turned the challenge into an opportunity—building lasting partnerships with new clients that remain part of the Simtrans family to this day.

Our commitment to personal attention and reliable service quickly set us apart. By 1999, Simtrans had stepped into isotainer operations, becoming one of the pioneers in the storage and transport of both hazardous and non-hazardous products. Over the years, we’ve grown alongside our clients, building strong bonds through trust, safety, and service excellence.

Today, Simtrans proudly operates its own fleet of vehicles, backed by SQAS and DEKRA certifications, and is a signatory to the Chemical & Allied Industries Association (CAIA). These accreditations ensure we uphold the highest standards in health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

While isotanks remain a core focus, our services extend well beyond—we transport TEUs and general breakbulk cargo across South Africa and into the broader Southern African region.
